Dark cherry, peppery, diesel nose; still dark cherry palate but dry and balanced; med-low acidity, medium tannins but not harsh. Very drinkable and pairs well with pasta all'amatriciana. Took a few minutes to open up and mellow out. Bought it on sale - good value.
