Needed 20 minutes to open up but now it is big fruit and refined tannins.

A decanter is necessary. Not as heavy as I initially thought. Opened up very nicely over as the time went by. Subtle bold flavours. Dark berries, wood fire, and shoulders. Elegant aroma.

Dark and dry like a cab, but just sweet enough you keep going back for more. Julie approves. Spencer likey juicey.

It was a drinkable Spanish tempranillo but honestly it disappoints. The 10 months of French oak aging is overwhelming. It almost taste like stave "aged" cabs from California. I like the dark fruit but it is missing the spice of a nice tempranillo. I'll pass next time.
