While dark in color with its deep purple complexion it is very bright and expressive on the palate. On the nose you have spices, with dark fruits like cherry, plum, black currant and blackberry jam as well as a hint of meatiness. The palate is all similar characteristics with bright red raspberry and even some strawberry. A fantastic wine from Abacela in the Umpqua Valley of Southern Oregon!
