When it comes to wines, I chase down rosés or slightly sweet whites. This red has a depth of flavour while still being light, fruity, and easy to drink. There's something chocolatey in the after taste, and I've treated it as a dessert. High above what I would have expected for my budget.

For a $13 wine, this is home damn run. Great acidity, and the ripasso style brings a richness and velvety texture that is just delicious. Unctuous without being extracted. Black fruit and bakers chocolate.
