Hot to Trot Columbia Valley Smooth Red Blend

Cherry, berry, plum with a little oak and light tannins. Good stuff from WA state. It’s been a while since I’ve had this one and it’s good to be reunited.

6/19/23 - First summer night on the porch with Annabelle! Juneteenth!

Black cherry with good acidity and light tannins. Very drinkable.

Color of ruby and purple. Nose of dark fruits, such as blackberries, vanilla, strength of alcohol, some ripe strawberries and sweet currants. Nose is pretty good and attractive. Taste follows the nose with good mix of acidity and sweetness, ripe grape, mellow tannins, and bit grapefruit, and a bit more bittersweet. Aftertaste shows some more bitter note. Pretty clean yet too sweet for me.

Quite the critter on the label. Smells delicious. Fruits of the vine and cane. Plus black cherry soda. Hint of sweat. Flavors are soft and easy in the mouth. Some cola there. But it’s A-ok.

Great sturdy red wine. Not amazing, but never disappointed. Nice balance of fruit and acid. Good price and enjoyed by all who had a glass 🍷
