Normally I don’t post #samples, but this one combined so much esoterica tied up nearly in a bow by a kind human and winemaker: an amphora aged white field blend of 25% Blaufrankisch, 25% Arbiuriou, 25% zweigelt, 13% Savignan Rose, 5% Gruner, 5% Melon de Bourgogne, 2% Petite Arvine and it doesn’t suck. Yes, definitely gimmicky and natty, but in addition to the expected kombucha and bruised apple notes, it has a really pleasing limestone mineral character, along with an exciting texture and tension.
