Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
This was the showstopper of the evening. First ever public tasting of the 2013, thanks to the best wine making team in Napa.
You can just tell this one goes way above and beyond when you first get to smell it in the glass. Aromatics are at full blast, and everytime I sniffed, I got something new. First, smokey cedar, then, a freshly opened box of cigars, then, dust from the mountain top, and lavender, all of which lifting notes of mulled black plum. The pallet was flawless, exhibiting notes of blackberries, red delicious apple skin, Graves minerality, and very generous rich tannins. The experience of this wine is seamless. It is like listening to Andre Bocelli perform "Ave Maria" if it were to be in the Cathedral of a barrel room hidden away on the mountain. Thank you so much for this wonderful experience, and cheers to Don Chappellet, for the great family you built. I left part of myself up on that mountain.

Got the experience of being in the first tasting of the 2013 Pritchard Hill from Chappallett, simply amazing. The fruit on the front, the balance of the estate mountain fruit. This will be a bottle I would love to re taste in 10 and 20 years because I believe it could lay down that long. — 8 years ago
