Stone Brewing

Tangerine Express IPA

Stone. IPA. Tangerine Express. Best part? 75 cents per can closeout. They had 19 of them...now THIS DUDE has 19 of them. Nice IPA with great citrus hops on the front and more of a dry hop finish. Nice brew for summertime! — 7 years ago

@Isaac Pirolo LOL. The wife wanted to turn down the aisle where they have seasonal stuff, which is also where they have closeouts. She knows I have a weakness for Stone, and knows what the label looks like. When she saw the $0.75 per can close out sticker, she knew she had made the wrong decision to turn down the aisle that day!

Graves Red Bordeaux Blend 2012

Nice little Graves Red enjoyed tonight! Has a great red berry nose and palate. Nice acidity that went very well with pizza. Great balance and structure to this wine. Nice red fruit and a hint of earth. The finish was darker berry, a hint of licorice. Wife killed the only bottle I had allocated to the houee, so I hope the wine storage bottle makes it out alive!! I really think 2 or 3 years in bottle would help this one out tremendously. — 8 years ago

Penfolds

Bin 8 South Australia Cabernet Shiraz 2012

Apparently they needed shelf space for the 37th version of Ménage à Trois, Sunrise, a breakfast white.

Black fruit with a tinge of stone fruit, oak-driven vanilla, dark chocolate and an edge of mint. Not inspiring, but classic, nonetheless.

Nice @Isaac Pirolo ! Hey @Kim Stanbro have they changed the laws and at least allowed opening of wine stores on Sunday yet?

@TheSkip unfortunately some Maryland stores forget we voted against prohibition. In Baltimore we do have Sunday shopping, but when we visited my daughter's place up near the ski resorts, not even restaurants could serve booze on Sunday. I had to have brunch without a mimosa- or a Bloody Mary- worst brunch ever.
