@Steven Foster I opened both Stock & Stein soon after delivery and found them both to be extremely tight. Still very typical SQN, big and bold yet nuanced and balanced. Give it a good decant with 4-5 hours of air. Look forward to seeing your impressions.
Hi Steve. I did not find the Syrah tight but I too have learned to decant these for a very long time as @Roman Sukley suggests. I failed to tasted it right out of the bottle as I was on my way out the door. Stock had that classic SQN supple mouthfeel, with an assorted flavors of cooked dark fruits, cassis. I look forward to trying the next bottle in a few months. @Steven Foster Have either of you seen the SQN pages on FineWineGeek.com. Its quite current and very well done.
@Dag Zapatero , yes! A great site that I frequent. I also have some things I could contribute to it since I see some of these bottles from time to time and get to try them. Great site, indeed.
