The 2023 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is a total stunner. Bright, aromatic and vibrant, the 2023 is lights-out, brilliantly marrying fruit intensity and energy. Apricot, mint and white flowers abound. This is a stunning wine for the price and for its production of around 40,000 cases. All of this fruit is from Mission Hills in Los Alamos. The 2021 Andremily No. 10 captures all the potential I sensed last year. Silky and beautifully perfumed, the 2021 has acquired quite a bit more finesse than it showed as a young barrel sample. Crushed dark fruit, graphite, leather, cedar, incense, mocha and licorice are all laced together. Pretty floral overtones and bright acids extend the finish effortlessly. This is one of the best wines I have tasted from Andremily. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Pinot Noir Our Lady of Guadalupe is a hugely promising wine from Dave Phinney's new OLG Our Lady of Guadalupe label. Aromatic, deep and potent, the 2022 has so much going on. Crushed flowers, spice, plum, menthol and licorice all build in the glass. Hints of pomegranate, new leather and blood orange build into deep, resonant finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Pinot Noir Julia's Vineyard is redolent of sweet dried cherry, spice, new leather, mint and sweet pipe tobacco. This aromatic, gracious Pinot is a charmer. All the elements are nicely balanced throughout. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills) is a fabulous introduction to the range. Served last in this series of Chardonnays, the appellation Chardonnay is perhaps a bit more floral and lighter in body, but other than that, it is in no way inferior to the vineyard designates. This is beautifully done. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is a stellar appellation-level wine. Bright and vibrant, with terrific depth, the 2022 possesses striking energy, expressive, pliant fruit and fabulous balance. Crushed red berries, white pepper, mint and rose petal all grace this exquisite Pinot Noir. This is, without question, one of the best Pinots in its peer group in 2022. The 2022 Pinot Noir Machado is a pretty wine with understated density and terrific balance. Dark red/purplish fruit, lavender, rose petal, mint, spice and blood orange fill out the layers. Machado is the most reticent of the vineyard designates. It will be interesting to see what time brings here. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2023 Gamay is bursting with ripe red fruits, rose petals and a kick of dried herbs. The purity of the fruit is striking, while the 100% whole clusters are impeccably integrated. Bright acids punctuate the finish. This delightful Gamay has it all. I loved it. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, August 2024)

The 2022 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard is such a unique wine. Bright floral aromatics and lively acids make a strong opening statement. Pomegranate, blood orange, raspberry jam, slate, crushed rocks and clean mineral notes all drive through this heady, explosive Syrah. This is a magical wine from Joey Tensley.
