Nose has oxidized yellow apple, pineapple core, peach pit, lemon zest and older, wet oak.

Palate has day old pineapple slice, dried lemon peel, creamy butter, green banana peel, zingy acidity with nice sandstone-like minerals on the medium-long finish.

Seems quite advanced for a 2016 vintage, a nose and (sort of) palate of a wine 6+ years its senior. Our only bottle, likely we could get another, but at ~$50 it's not worth it to us. I did decant for about 90m, based on experience with other 2016 S-A wines, not sure if this was enough time for this bottle, but it is showing improvement with glass time.

At hour 3+ the semi-ripe, tropical fruits are finally making an entrance 👍
