Dark garnet and brooding in the glass. The nose doesn’t overpower. In fact, it’s quite bashful at first. After some decanting you’ll find those wonderful notes of black fruits and flowers. These Cain Cuvee wines are solidly a step above other Napa blends. This is such a sexy little beast. I love all of their offerings but this year in and year out this one is special. Just the right amount of fruit on the palate to go with the fresh herbs and spice. This is a serious wine for a second label. So good, so much fun. It’s not crazy at all to say this may be the best value around.
