At close to 30 years, this is the oldest white I’ve had. I was quite excited to see the cork in excellent condition as it was being pulled. But obviously the bottle was on its downhill. Slightly oxidized, there is still hint of stone fruits and citrus to go along with honeysuckle on the nutty nose. Acidity still holds its court, but there is no tension anymore on the otherwise textured palate.
No fault of the wine. Should be consumed 10 years earlier.
