Good quality wine, appealing, ripe red fruit character with some herbal and earthy complexity. Shows varietal character and provenance, but rather simple and is not able to carry the high alcohol

Ruby in color with a wide reddish /purple rim.

Nice nose of black currants, blueberries, wood, earth, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, herbs, river rocks, licorice and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, oak, licorice, blueberries, cloves, earth, vegetables, spices peppercorn, leather, smoke, chocolates and dark coffee.

Medium on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice Côte du Rhône. Showing mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Not showing the high alcohol at all, which I liked. Well balanced and enjoyable by itself or with food.

I paired it with a vegetarian flatbread.

Very fruity right out of the bottle and much different after 45 minutes. This review is after it opens up.

Peaking now and will be good in the next 2 years.

15% alcohol by volume.

87 Points.

$15.
