Austere. Very light and lean. The color is just barely deeper than water - almost silvery. The flavors are similarly pale. Just the barest suggestion of citric fruit, a bit of lemon/lime. Relative to the way the pradikats are bottled these days, this tastes much more like a kabinett in terms of ripeness than a spatlese, even taking into account the feinherb designation. It has a mineral quality to it as well, more chalky or sandy than slate-like. The spritzig element adds some energy, but what I really want here is more body and flavor. AP Nr. 13
