5th of 6 in this bracket. Subdued nose Latent. Took a few swirls to coax out the nose. Aristocratic once you did. Fine dry Tannins - needs time. de Vogue? My blind tasted notes say.

The Bonnes Mares is more approachable than the Musigny at this point. While the village and 1er Cru were charming wines to enjoy, this wine certainly required some thinking. Quite fresh, aromatically perfumed with dark cherries and flowers. Tinge of earthiness and wildness. Lots going on here and I just want to keep smelling this. Similar to the 1er Cru, the structure is present, but almost effortless.
