Fine tannins, long finish, well balanced, ending with mineral and earthy character. Just starting to drink well but a few more years this wine should “pop.”

One of the sleepers of the vintage, the 2015 Bellevue (Merlot) offers a striking interplay of dense, dark fruit and the more savory notes that are typical of this cool microclimate in Saint-Émilion. Delineation and precision give the Bellevue much of its distinctive character. There is much to like in this nuanced, super-expressive Saint-Émilion from the de Boüard family.
