La Reserve Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend

I quite enjoyed this unusual CdP that combines wines from 2007, 2009 and 2010. The wine still seems very youthful and needs an hour or two in a decanter to show is best. It doesn't have the powerful depth of some of Vignon's wines but it is still very appealing with well extracted blackberry, red fruit and a lovely whiff of garigue. Ripe, smooth tannic impression

Dense, dry and deep. Perfect match with our kale/spinach salad.

Party wine for lots of people that aren't that into wine. If I recall correctly WE gave this a 94. Not sure how that could be.
