I was super excited to open and share this bottle, my first orange wine, with my friends. And I was ready to the weird, the unusual, and the unknown. To say that I was disappointed was an understatement. Basically the bottle was lifeless except for the very faint apricot and unpleasant kerosene smell. No trace of oxidation. No texture to speak of.
Bought it from a reputable NYC wine store last year, but even a bad bottle should be better than this..... oh well, next!

Last of the starter “whites” with apps. Brilliant orange wine from Gravner and a nice transition point to the reds. An @romo wine

Oh, happy day. Darker than Sauternes but grippy, dry and clean.

Was quite excited to try this white blend from Josko Gravner. A bit underwhelmed. Crazy amber in the glass, quite restrained on the palate. Definitely sensation of skin contact but pretty light. Limited lift and acidity. Still interesting to try.

Deep color, bright acidity that played well with pizza, and the bit that stayed out over night got a complex nose of caramelized parmesan. Tasty funky stuff
