Spicy berry fruit with prominent chalky tannins and firm acidity. Made from 90% Croatina blended with Nebbiolo and Vespolina farmed organically by hand on old vines averaging 70 years, fermented in steel vats, and then aged 18 months in large oak barrels before being bottled unfiltered.

Play-doe, raw mushroom oxidative notes. Very little primary fruit. Fresh and tannic but decently long. Tanins are not overly grippy.

Dry and astringent, a good wine with cheese. Peppery nose, bitter flavor with quick finish. An interesting wine, and good value.
