This is in a really solid place right now (like a lot of '05's that I've had of late).. the nose is gorgeous, showcasing the most menthol/mint notes I've ever had on a wine (it almost clears your sinuses). The palate is seamless, fruit very much still alive, with the beautiful pauillac graphite/cedar tinge on the backend. Lovely wine, drink up.

Super Solid, just what you need with a seared duck breast. Not as deep as some siblings in the CG still you couldn't ask for much more and what a value !

2005 Bordeauxs are really coming into their own! Leather, cedar, and spice, alongside subtle herbal tones. Medium bodied with silky tannins, ready to go with plenty left in it.

Opened a magnum as a follow on wine - we definitely upped our wine game! Very rich and full on the palette with dark fruit, soft floral notes, and finely structured tannins. A great wine to enjoy now, or in a decade!!
