Hidden Ridge
55% slope Cabernet Sauvignon
Can’t remember where I picked this up, but I wrote “drink in 2017” on the back!Solid, if predictable California cab. Good on this chilly night.

Nov 5th, 2016My first introduction to Hidden Ridge. This wine, along with their others, have all received impressive scores (this one in particular got a 94) and I'm in agreement. Dark royal purple in the glass, and on the nose, I get a ton of plum and licorice. A voluptuous wine on the tongue...velvety tannins, brown sugar, and cocoa. This is definitely worth seeking out.

Oct 28th, 2016My last bottle. Boycotting the more recent vintages due to egregious price increases. This was a great vintage for them. Still going strong.

Feb 16th, 2020One of the top mountain wine deals out there IMO. Eye watering nose with cassis and minted blueberries. Bright palate with a long leathery finish. I read on Celler Tracker that they took the price up to $100. It ain't with that, but it's a steal for the $45 I paid. Great now with a decant but has a ways to go.
