Lovely and young. Eric says: "fresh and fruity".

Medium ruby , garnet rim . Quite deep and more mineral , earthy nose , rather dusty dark fruit, cassis, violet . On the palate , dark cassis , with dusty mineral notes . A lot of sediment in my glass so some dusty tannins and just balanced acidity . Medium dark fruit tinged finish , cassis , blackberry and blueberry . Just a little short on the finish . This is drinking at peak now though can age a little further over the next 3-5 years .

Quite deep , quite narrow slightly garnet rim . Quite subdued on the nose , darker fruits , but more grafite and cassis , touch of coffee . On the palate stricter drier fruits , slightly herbal , cassis , blackberry touches . Quite mineral , drier tannin . Ok length . This is drinking ok but will improve over the next 5 years . And last a further 10 or so .

1 hour decant (fine/cloudy sediment). A 3rd growth that has gotten better since Caroline Frey took control in 2004. A forbidding inky dark reddish purple. On the nose: some funk that blows off, currant, smoke, minerals, blackberry, and graphite. Taste: creamy, smooth medium plus body wine...Lacks the depth of a great vintage, but goes down fine and easy with dark cherry, cedar, dusty tobacco, currants, little metallic, and some smoked herbs
