Dusty, full. It fills and coats the mouth and lingers for quite some time afterwards. Mushroom, compost, forest floor. Some leather quality to it, with a background note of baked black plum (like in a scone). There is a slight cinnamon or nutmeg quality in the aftertaste. It’s mild (can really notice it while breathing in air), but reminds you that it’s still here. Pair with pets for a Maremma Sheepdog.

Closest to the vine - Surprised and light drank well now when usually they need years. Not as earthy as most old world I have had.

Subtle but very elegant Bordeaux from Saint Emilion. Opened very nicely with decanting lending to back pallet mint and forward fruits and a leathery note - not overpowering. A splendid vintage from a grand cru!!

Have a bunch of these and couldn't resist trying one.

Stunning! So elegant and smooth! The aromas take time.at this young age but the dark berry aromas are subtly there. BlackBerry, currants, a touch of earthiness, and a bit of slate on the finish. Tannins are silky smooth.

Decanted for 90 min before drinking with ostrich filet mignon. Perfect pairing!
