Very floral on the nose. Intense licorice flavor. An acquired taste.

A French (!) single malt. Finished in cognac barrels. Nose is like salted licorice candy. Caramel, anise in mouth.

Jan 5th, 2016I didn't know the French did single malts - this one is aged in a cognac barrel and takes on that depth and sweetness. Smells a little like blueberry pie, but it isn't overly sweet. Smooth but strong; the ideal digestif. $70ish and worth it.

Smells of herbal orange, cognac barrel, light, smooth, vanilla caramel sweet, maple syrup - floral. Unique.
