I didn’t pick up any of the Viognier in here, but fantastic anyways, and peaking for sure. Light strawberry, mushroom-earth, leather, perfectly resolved and feathery on the palate, but still with enough latent power and finesse to leave a long impression. Nice!

Mine, so easiest to pick out blind, the last of my 6-case. Like the Chave, but more red floral, the palate loamy with mushrooms and leather, hints of cinnamon, bloody iron. Kept improving in the glass, achieving a lightness and length its case siblings never reached. I still say drink up, with a decant. Outstanding.

An hour decant settled this down and knit the gorgeous acidity into a perfect, sexy, hedonistic place. This is singing with secondary aromatics (white and pink flowers, asian spice) and a broad, tense core of cherry, strawberry with meaty notes (it was perfect with pork belly). Endless finish.

Very good. In a lovely place now but no hurry to drink.

Huge fruit at first, mellowed, then got kinda grippy.

'03. Even better than its sister '03 Landonne, more scorched earth on the nose and just a bit more power in the same package. Outstanding, ready.

Decanted for a few hours. Blue fruit, earth, mineral. Lovely.
