From a half bottle. Still very expressive and powerful for over 20 years later in a 375. Beautiful wine. So mineral.

On the nose some anise and dark fruit and mushroom. On the palate, beautiful fruit, slight leather notes and quite powerful still, the red fruit still vibrant and bright. Almost too much.

Still developing but a wonderful wine. Tannins aren't quite assimilated, neither is the spice, but a great showing that will develop for another 5-10 years.

In a great place right now--must get more! Lovely, Burgundian-like quality that is still showing plenty of energy. Yum!

Had a slightly younger vintage of this last year (2001?). Classic S Rhone on the nose, with lots of incense from the Grenache on the nose plus good acidity from the Syrah (presumably).
