A hint of heat on opening (even at 11.8%!)... a bit of air brought out pepper notes... after a full decant just lush, deep, and tasty. Wish I had more.

Gamey, pulpy, dank black fruit, ca scrub. Intense and rich yet low abv. Reminiscent in some ways of georgian quervi reds. Beguiling while retaining a recognizable streak of sonoma syrah. Not quite over the hill, but 2009 in 2022 struck me as in denouement.
