1996 Leroy Clos de Vougeot. Dinner at Flx w B&V G. Decanted a little while during dinner. Loved this. Really balanced. No cloying sweetness. Long finish.

May 2nd, 20181996 Domaine Leroy Clos de Vougeot burgundy. Burgundy course during K charity wine dinner, alongside the '96 La Tache. Such different wines to compare. This wine was beautiful, feminine, nuanced, while the La Tache was the opposite. The table was split on which they preferred of the two. This one had more fruit and spice to it and drank so wonderfully without food. The La Tache was definitely a food wine. I preferred this wine slightly to the other.

Nov 14th, 20161996 Domaine Leroy Clos de Vougeot. Date night at Gj- coincidentally drinking this same wine we drank on our 2nd date here! No decanting. Right away the nose was complex and classically sweet. Opened up pretty quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. K was unsure if it was good at first, but within minutes, he noticed the change. K loved this wine.
