Nice entry level Northern Rhone

Absolute steal for 8.99 a bottle at Bashas. Blueberries, blackberries, bacon and pepper. Great mouth feel.

Classic mix of raw meat and deeply peppered black berry fruits which dominates the meaty notes after some time in the glass along with dark liquorice & tar. Light tannin with a sappy acidity and drying, taught red berry fruit.

Syrah is good for you

Tight nose. Dark berry with heavy smoked bacon aroma, allspice and licorice. Leaner fruit but spiced boysenberry and smoked meat. Nice tannins.

2009 was a dream smooth and balanced

Tight nose that needs time to open up. Plum, pepper, meat. Bright acidity balanced by moderate tannins. Lingering spicy finish. A great representative of Northern Rhone Syrah.

Color is a beautiful deep purple.
Nose of earth, pepper, hint of leather.
Has nice soft mouth feel. Notes of plum, and just a hint of white pepper.
