Modern? Maybe, but there is so much to love about the 2000 Percristina. Intense dark fruit, sweet spice, and floral tones dominate the bouquet. It was so giving yet still slightly retrained by sweet tannin on the palate. Dried cherry, inner floral tones and minerals lingered long throughout the finish. I can't image where this will go but I hope I have a chance to taste it again.

Unfortunately, somewhat oxidized. Still, there was enough fruit and power to know that it could have been great.

Classic noise of tar with a hint of roses. Outstanding in every way.

Tasted 11/29/15. A rich, balanced wine. Licorice, leather and eucalyptus on the nose. Young, but approachable. Steady and calm tannins, growing warm fruits. Autumnal and long lasting.

A little bit of Amerone to the nose. Very smooth, not getting any better. Drink up.
