Displays the moist, earthy side of Pinot Noir. Lots of moist, mossy notes, along with tea-dipped graham cracker. Lots of smoky oak. Dark cherry fruit is underneath all that. Surprisingly macho in the mouth. Big and, for a PN, loads of tannin. Flavors are on the savory side. Lengthy, oaky, minerally finish. I’m going to Vacu-Vin the last 1/4 bottle and see if it’s any more fruity tomorrow night. Right now, it’s a 9.0.
UPDATE: On night 2, it’s showing more fruit and is more composed and Burgundian. Upping score from 9.0 to 9.2.

A Christmas gift from my wine-drinking partner, this is a nicely earthy, full-bodied Pinot Noir. Tannins give a great mouth feel.
