Napa Valley Sangiovese

Amazing! This bottle paired well with pizza and Stanley Tucci’s In Search of Italy. Love Kurt Venge and his creativity.

Nice sangio. Not completely sure, but seems robust than older vintages. Also seems less sweet.

Fruit rich with hints of jam and smoke. Delicious

Dinner wine, but doesn’t need food, this is a really good Sangiovese that compares to Venge’s Sangiovese, pop & pour

Darker than the 2014. Both are similar in score. For a cab drinker, this will please.

Not as dense as the venge version, which is mountain fruit beefed up by charbono skins. This is more typical sangio, with good spice and sweet bright fruit. Fun wine. Very rich. Prefer this over the b zin, which was a bit cloying.

Concentrated fruit with a mocha note. Just a tad of green. Not as oaky as the 2013. Really nice cab franc.

Softer and more supple than the venge penny lane sangio which is a more opulent darker tannic wine. Expansive on the palate. Just plain juicy. Cherry but not too bright, puckering. Def get the coffee notes on it.
