Starts out as in your face Sauvignon blanc, but balanced enough to be quite enjoyable.

Perhaps more bakery than fruit cart, this Bergerac sec is a rich & toasty white. Sauvignon Blanc & Sémillon aged 6 months in French oak. First nose of piney citrus gives way to freshly baked thumbprint cookies (fruity vanilla butter biscuits). Delicate savors of gooseberries & exotic fruits (lychee/rambutan) play against its toasty-buttery-creamy backdrop. This refined, main-course white in its rumpled bottle was an unusual find in my area where white wines are scarce and mostly Moelleux (sweet) :(

Lovely lemony zing in the nose. Lighter pallet. Lemmon zest, soft floral elements.
