Didn't even know Copain Sourced from JB vineyard. A bit far south for them, but damn that vineyard makes great Syrah. Very well made wine from a producer I find to be extremely reliable.

Cool nose of baking spices, herbs with a lightly savory note, deep, peppery, earthy, black fruit palate

Age unf amazingly well. Definitely has the ripe, stewed cooked fruit notes but that hint of coastal minerality and some acid is keeping this wine very interesting, especially this vintage.

2008. Very good for the price. Everything I look for in a Syrah - berries, pepper, spice, and a little gaminess.

This one surprised me. Still holding in its own though no one called it Paso Syrah.

This is a gorgeous wine. Probably at its peak and can probably hold its own for another 5 years. Rich, full nose, 40 second finish with a lot of structure to the body. Very impressive
