A really nice pinot. After a corked 2006 Selyem Vista Verde, this was the next on deck. "Dan, where did you get this?" :shoulder shrug: ....sigh...well, we might as well drink it!!!!!. The nose is a little more youthful than the palate. The nose has a little bit of basil and raspberry but appears to be more of a youthful raspberry. On the palate, this is where the raspberry shows a little bit more age. Herbal notes go more to a rosemary than basil. A slightly noticeable uptick in acidity moving to the finish. Really no knowledge of this producer at all, so I was extremely intrigued by this Pinot. At 8 years of age, it probably drinks like 5 years old. Still has a little bit of youthfulness on the finish, so I would like to see where this one is in a few years.
