Santa Ynez Valley Gewürztraminer

Good spice and fruit. Not too exciting.

Oily rolling mouthy

Doin too much... The finish has some heat but then turns...soapy? (someone else mentioned.. Which is weirdly spot on)

A lovely, light color and rose petal aromas should clue you in that this is not a typical white wine. Lemon, lime, honey and an aftertaste that’s sooo not acidic, I initially found it soapy. Not for everyone’s taste but we paired it with spicy Thai food and enjoyed it.

Great mouthfeel, very good for California gewurtz

The wine's lychee bouquet is light, and seems to befit its appearance: a pellucid yellow with the merest green cast. The taste is more sophisticated than most affordable Gewürztraminers, offering feathery acidity, minerality, and alcohol to nicely offset the expectation of sweetness.

Candied pineapple and a slight acetone note. Nicely acidic and dry on the palate.

High in acidity and lots of citrus

I'm trying to expand my palette...not working on this one. Terrible on the nose, just no. No defining notes other than acidity, alcohol, and blue cheese...with some almond. Not for me.
