Another classic. This was from the Helen Turley era at Pahlmeyer and was one of the bottlings that helped introduce me to finer wine. Superb mint dark chocolate and violet aromatics. This has a dash of Cab Franc in it and you can catch it. Very dark and full with fine grained tannins, black cherry and rich earth. Classy and muscular.

Tart black currant and plum, a minty dried herbaceous note with blackberries and sour black cherry. Black pepper and green olive, some green tobacco pyrazine like notes vinegar notes as expected from age like this. So perfect. Possibly my favorite merlot ever. Brown sugary cinnamon oak flavor.
