See previous notes where I wrote about the blend of 35% Pinot Blanc and 65% Auxerrois. The medium bodied palate showing pear and quince with medium minus acid. Quite delicious and amazing value at only $24 AUD.

Aromas of poached pears, verging on tropical fruits. The palate is luscious and delicious of medium plus intensity. A blend of Pinot Blanc (35%) and Auxerrois (65%). The latter originates from the Pinot Blanc (just like Chardonnay) but they are quite different. Auxerrois has less acidity, ripens to a higher alcohol level and is more aromatic than Pinot Blanc They complement each other well. This wine is a real crowd pleaser and excellent value. Finishes dry. Tasted again 55 weeks later on 12th November 2022 with similar notes. Poached pear notes on nose and palate. Wonderful QPR.

Took some time to open up in the glass, eventually showing some aromatic complexity and finesse. Definitely on the leaner side for Humbrecht but good example of classic floral, spice and exotic fruit profile of dry Alsatian whites. Honeysuckle, ginger, fresh herbs, white peach and lychees. Very phenolic on the finish.

Perhaps late harvest - kinda bizarre color - obvious long-ish maceration with skins - copper color with Grade A maple syrup highlights - muddled baby food tree fruit - flabby acid - is it in fact Pinot Gris in disguise? (as I think the appellation allows) - just weird and unexpected - what's up with Olivier since parting ways with Kermit? Makes me want to punch him in the neck (Hungarian style) Was with Sorting Table now Kobrand importing - should we all be concerned?

Wow this is really blowing my mind. I admit that I'm a sucker for Pinot blanc, this is in a league of its own. Beautiful floral nose gives way to pears and tons of minerality on the on the palate!

I am surprised at the fairly aromatic nose on this Pinot blanc! Honeysuckle, apricot, pears, mouthwatering acidity, so delicious!
