Bright, juicy cranberry and pomegranate notes on the nose and palate. Lilac and lavender. Strange kind of candy coated note, sweet and a little inorganic at the same time.

Super tart and acidic with more alcohol than I expected. Medium bodied but a less than wanted finish.

Because... Beaujolais! Domaine des Versauds Morgon! $13-Cranberry, some cocoa/cola. Opened up nicely and worked just fine with baked chicken.

Day 1 this was quite acidic and tannic, which contrasts with the complex nose of cherry/blueberry, leather. Day 2 was better because it mellowed out but still not enough depth or sweetness to offset the bitterness.
