Genevrières Meursault 1er Cru Chardonnay

Yum. Compelling in the sense of minerality this wine has. Classic Meursault with more emphasis on texture and rock than weight/density.

Tight and somewhat grumpy that we opened it up! So much potential. Great wine but please give some time to relax. Wound up and focused, great mineral tone throughout, very textural wine, poised and elegant

Unctuously tropical in character, almost like a Sauternes, full on butterscotch business. Again in the mouth this is rich and syrupy.

I loved this. Great balance of roundness, purity and energetic acid. 2011 white burgs are pretty special right now.

Wow. Any 15 year old wine is a gamble but this one paid off. Deep golden colour, almost shocking the contrast compared to the younger wines tasted beforehand. Nose is toasted sesame and popcorn, all oak and allusion - one of those wines that connects with memories. On the palate it is rich, textured, almost oily, resolving to succulent tropical fruit. Thrilling.

Truly delactable. Earthy tones over brightly acidic citrus flavors. Pleasant long finish
