2015. Half grenache, half syrah. Great combination of fruit and spice, with plenty of acid to make it versatile with all sorts of food pairings. But don’t overthink things. This wine’s comfort zone is burgers, sausages, spicy grilled chicken, and cheap steaks. Not super cheap but won’t break the bank. At $17 it plays above its price point. 14% abv.

Balance with delicious fruit and steady acid, and just enough body weight to match up with the fatty, shallot-speckled Wagyu chuck burgers that are about to come off the grill. Delicious. Restraint will be difficult. 14% abv. $18.
