The wine needs to breathe a little, but the wait will be rewarded. It's a complex, although still young red that gives a good name not only to kosher wines, but affordable red wines in general.

"Odedi"

Ruby in color with a thin red rim.

Chocolate nose with mainly coffee and dark chocolates, but also blackberries, sweet cherries, licorice, alcohol, smoke, green pepper, vanilla, oak, cloves, earth, spices and peppercorn.

Medium-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, plums, cherries, licorice, oak, tobacco, bitter greens, coffee, green pepper, dark chocolates, peppercorn and spices.

Long finish with firm tannins (only after 90 minutes of decanting), spices and peppercorn.

A nice blend of 40% Petite Sirah, 35% Petite Verdot and 25% Shiraz. A Kosher wine too.

Really needs 2 hours to open up.
Good structure, not fully balanced, but has a nice mouthfeel. Will probably be better in the next two years in the bottle.

Enjoyable by itself with a nice grip. A bit bitter, though, and fatty cheeses will work well with it.
The Shiraz is the most dominant here, can't really see how the other two are here too.

Aged separately in French and American Oak barrels for eight months, and then for another eight months together, for a total of 16 months in Oak barrels.

90 points Robert Parker.
