Quite clear. French oak and struck match on the nose, very French. Medium/ full weight, lovely concentrate white melon, nice acidly and good persistence. Not the nova moda lean machine but a traditional textural ripe Aussie Chardonnay — 9 years ago
Second bracket of Cool Climate Shiraz! 2013 Luke Lambert Syrah intriguing texture and complex flavour profile, best value wine of the Day at $33. Well worth experimenting with a couple over time. Not the cheapest or most expensive just best bang for buck. Warramate also good value for $20 restrained, fun, nothing cerebral, great daily drinking $20. Craiglee a solid wine that felt a bit lost in the line up. Lacking the extra dimension. #Wine #FilthyGoodVino #Shiraz #CoolClimate #VictorianWine — 10 years ago

Very interesting and complex nose
Tertiary, but primary hasn’t faded away yet
Colour is not yet bricky either
It had blueberry, plums, pencil shaves, white pepper, autumn forest floor, compost, little dairy and pungently green
Mouth not as good
It drops in the middle
We have alcohol a little too evident
Still a good buy for 20 bucks👍
I really enjoyed the olfactory side of it — 7 years ago
Cool climate feel. Black fruit and savory notes. Good acidity and integrated tannins. — 10 years ago
Marcus Chacos
Possibly the most balanced Chardonnay I've ever tasted. At $35, it represents great value. It is dry and simultaneous rich with flavour. A sweetness that is not overbearing, and a an ability to hold its own with or without food.
For a couple where one person really likes their dry, and someone that is less, partial to a dry wine, it is something that can be shared and enjoyed and really valued. — 16 days ago
