Wine Shoe Sept 20201. Loved by me and Craig — 5 years ago
This is a good example of a wine really growing on you as it opens up. With 4 years of age, this 100% estate merlot was still playfully sweet with its red fruit introduction. however as the meal was wrapping up it started to take on more classic Virginia (king family) varietal character. Day 2 was quite impressive - as I felt I was really drinking pure Merlot. Definitely the sign of a good wind wind this progressive revelation happens :) — 6 years ago
Absolutely delicious! This is perfect for a nice fall or winter night, either served as a digestif or alone. — 8 years ago

Its not a dinner wine but a sipping cordial wine. Fantastic after Thanksgiving. — 11 years ago
A wine from southern New Jersey? You got a problem with that? It is actually wonderful, fruit forward and luscious but a good structure. This is the 2012. If you can find it buy it!! — 11 years ago

Man, this one gained elegance in the bottle over a decade. This was my very first Tomasello purchase (at their tasting room). ** still plenty of structure at 11+ years for the single varietal. A distinct concentration of CF flavor that is not normally found in Virginia. A touch of elderberry was found. — 2 years ago
