Lovely pale lemon. Nose is all smoky, French oak and struck match. Fruit on the background. Lovely and slippery in the mouth but with fruit sweetness , acid and texture all in balance. Lovely persistence. Well made and quite lovely. — 8 years ago

Red gate Chardonnay 2014 Reserve.
At 14.2% advertised ABV it's a big one, no real finesse to show but buttery to boot. — 7 years ago
