This is all Walla Walla fruit. Not sure why Delectable lists it as Willamette Valley. Anyway, this is 59% Cab Sauv, 24% Cab Franc, 17% Merlot. Bought at winery two+ years ago. Drinking beautifully right now. Deep, fragrant nose. Ripe cassis and blackberry, smokey gravel, humus. Intensely rich attack, with tons of fruit tempered by the smoky, savory notes Walla Walla is known for. This is a deep-toned wine. Bass and baritone. Still a fair amount of tannin, noticeable as the extended finish sails on, but it’s very fine-grained tannin. Terrific. Can’t wait to see how it shows with grilled strips. — 5 years ago
