I recently conducted an experiment...Wine.com 10% off of $99, an offering that does not present very often.
All wines needed to score 90 or above by Wine Spectator..except for the Burn Cottage PN all bottles were less than $20. My purchase... five bottles in total.
1). Burn Cottage Moonlight Race 2015. WS 91..
Most expensive $42.
2). Novellum Chardonnay 92 by JD..this was
Included to make the $99.
3). Innocent Bystander PN 2017. 92 by WS.
...will keep you posted on other two.
This wine is great for sub $20...blueberry...cherry..tea leaves.a soft herbal component and dried flowers or sage. This definitely beat the Burn Cottage in terms of complexity!

Reminds me of Novellum, without the oak treatment. Muted nose. Fresh fruit profile on the palate. Hints of rocks and stones on the finish. For $11.99, this is a buy by the truckload. — 6 years ago
Trying out all the highly rated $10.00-$20.00 whites to guzzle during the summer heat & Beach bike rides. This is a wine advocate 91 for $15.00
1. Novellum,ridiculous for $10.00
2. Substance
3. This one
4. Matias Santa Lucia Highlands
But basically splitting hairs on all of them,
Matias is the most complex. — 6 years ago
