Preparing my wine contribution for saturday's festivities. Showing some friends around livermore wineries so picked out some wines to show the terroir. These are my top 5 livermore wineries. And a couple napa wines for dinner as well.

**not the Black Tie*** This is the pre-release of the 100% petite sirah from Livermore. It’s a mellow 15.8% ha. Big inky wine. From casa de vinas vineyard on the eastern side of livermore which is owned by Julio Covarrubias (senior vineyard manager at wente). Some great wines coming out of this valley floor vineyard (mckahn, nottingham wineries). — 4 years ago

Buttered 🍿 and 🥓 . Nottingham makes nice Rhone blends out of Livermore. This wine comes from one of murrieta's well estate vineyards (raboli). Valley floor. Gravel. — 7 years ago
