Wine 3. Care to know how many times I’ve seen this on the shelf and wondered how many saps are drinking this swill? New Mexico? They can’t be serious. I was wrong. Dead wrong. This was awesome. Fuji apple and cinnamon flavors. Mouthfilling. A bit too much residual sugar or it would’ve scored higher. Buy this. It’s terrific and massive QPR. — 6 years ago

Another special wine in tonight’s magnum lineup. This was my contribution. An anniversary gift from my betrothed a few years back. The 2004 was the #1 rated wine on WS Top 100 in 2013. The 1999 lived up to expectations. Tons of blackberry, mushroom, leather, and awesomeness. More austere than I expected. This can easily go another 5 years without breaking a sweat. Maybe 10. This is one of the last truly special bottles I have, but so happy I cracked it open with good friends who appreciated it. That’s what wine is meant for. — 6 years ago

My palate has shifted over the years. Really difficult for me to enjoy Malbec these days. This, however, brings me back to the days of yore and gives me hope I may fall in love all over again. This was just so soft and supple, showing cherry and leather flavors with a smoke-filled finish. Elegant. — 6 years ago
